TOP 5 BEAUTY SECRETS!

 First off, Happy Halloween!

Down below I listed 5 of my favorite secret beauty tricks that I use on an everyday basis.

1. Your makeup is only as good as your skincare. Ever since I stared using makeup my mom and grandma always told me I HAD TO HAD TO take care of my skin. When you take care of your skin you don't need as much makeup so it becomes effortless.

2. White eyeliner. Oh my gosh... Where has this been all my life?!? A white pencil is so universal and can be used for so many things. For one I use it on my waterline. This makes the whites of your eyes appear whiter and larger. I also use it under my brows for a fresh, just waxed look. More recently I have discovered using it as a primer for brighter shadows. Apply it messily on your lid then blend to perfection.

3. Bronzer. I use bronzer year round all seasons. It will give you that sunkissed healthy glow. You can also use this to contour to achieve perfect cheekbones.

4. Eyeliner can be used many different ways. To make your eyes appear smaller apply a darker shade to your waterline. To make your eyes appear larger apply on the outer corners.

5. Eyebrows. So many women are fearful of filling their brows in but, oh my does it make a difference. Whether a dramatic or natural look, brows will complete your look. If you are weary of using a pencil or powder I would recommend a more natural choice, brow gel. This will make them stand out a tad bit more.

That is it for my top fives! Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this and Please comment down below with your favs!!

How to: Foundation

How to: Foundation

I have been using foundation  since I was about 13 years old. Over the years and through experience I have a few tips and tricks that I have learned along the way.

Finding the right undertone

There are generally 3 types of undertones. Cool(pink), Warm(yellow), or Neutral(right in the middle). One way to tell is by looking at your veins. If they look blue then you are cool. If they look green then you are warm. If you can't really tell then you are most likely a neutral. Another way to tell is if silver(pink/cool) or gold jewelry(yellow/warm) looks best on you.

After finding the right undertone, you will also need to know your skin type.

Skin Type

There are 3 skin types. Very dry to dry, dry combo or oily combo, or oily to very oily. Most foundations are for all skin types but if your very dry or very oily, you might need a foundation that is made specifically for your skin.
If you are very dry to dry skin then you should feel tightness all over, even in the middle of the day.
If you have a combination skin then you will feel one way in your t-zone and another on your cheeks.
If you have very oily to oily then you will have oiliness all over, especially in the middle of the day.

Okay! Now that we have figured out your undertone and your skin type it's time to talk about finish, coverage, and formula.

Finish, Coverage, and Formula

In a foundation the finish is either matte, semi-matte, or dewy. Matte foundation is absolutely no shine whatsoever, which is best for oily skin. Semi-matte is a normal skin finish with little dewiness which is good for combination to normal skin. Dewy foundations are best for very dry to dry skin. The moisture of the foundation will keep the skin looking healthy rather than full and ashy.

When it comes to coverage you can choose between light, moderate, or full. Light coverage is great for your days off or if you don't have many concerns with your skin. Your skin will show through the foundation.

Formula truly comes down to the texture and your skin type. If you have oily skin you most likely want a lightweight oil free formula. With dryer skin you want something moisturizing.

I hope all of this helps and I will list down below my favorite foundations!

Estée Lauder Doublewear: full coverage
Lancôme Teint Miracle: moderate coverage
Chanel Vita Lumire Aqua: Sheer to Moderate
Urban Decay Naked: Moderate to Full
Clinique Superbalanced: Moderate

Hello Everyone!

Reds, burgundy, purple, beautiful vampy shades are all coming in so hot this season so I picked out a few of my favorites to share with you guys!

Lancome Rouge Velour
Estee Lauder Electrified
Lancome Lucky Kiss
Lancome Rich Cashmere
Lancome Wine Party

Another beautiful shade is Revlon Black Cherry which is
a more affordable price.

TIP:When applying darker shades of lipstick ALWAYS use
a lip pencil. First pencil it in all over (this will assure you that it wont budge!) then using a lip brush apply the lipstick. Using the lip brush with give you a flawless application.

Fall Blush

Hello Everyone!
Today I am going to chat about blush colors for Autumn.

Generally when it comes to fall, you can get away with the deeper shades. This fall vampy wine and burgundy tones and golden neutrals are all the rage.

Down below are a few of my favorites!

Lancôme Shimmer Mocha Havana
Lancôme ShimmerTamarind
Clinique Aglow
Bare Escentials Aubergine
Lancôme Capucine

TIP: When applying blush, a easy guideline is to start at the top of your ear to about an inch and a half away from the corner of your mouth. Blend, Blend, Blend!

I hope this post helps spark everyone's makeup
creativity.
